This Privacy Policy explains how Tour The Best SRLS collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit our website, contact us or book a tour with us. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and Italian data protection law.

  • Contact and enquiry data: your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, preferred tour date, number of guests and any message you send us.
  • Booking data: the names of all participants (some attractions issue tickets in each visitor’s name), tour dates, and any special requests, such as mobility or dietary needs you choose to share.
  • Payment data: payments are handled by [PAYMENT PROVIDER, e.g. Stripe / PayPal]. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Website usage data: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar technologies. See our Cookie Policy.
  • Photos and videos: images taken during tours, where you have agreed to appear in them.

3. Why We Use Your Data and Our Legal Basis

  • To answer your enquiries and prepare quotes, based on steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To manage your booking, buy attraction tickets and run your tour, based on the performance of our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To keep accounting and tax records, based on our legal obligations under Italian law (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To keep our website secure and improve our services, based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To send you newsletters or offers, use analytics and marketing cookies, or publish photos in which you can be identified, only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Health-related information you choose to share (for example, mobility needs) is used only to adapt your tour, and only with your explicit consent.

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We never sell your personal data. We share it only where needed to provide our services, with:

  • Our licensed tour guides and staff who run your tour.
  • Attractions and official ticket offices (for example, the Colosseum, the Vatican Museums or the Florence Duomo), which require visitor names for tickets.

  • Communication tools you choose to use with us, such as WhatsApp and email.

Some of our service providers (such as Google or Meta/WhatsApp) may process data outside the European Economic Area. 6. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to a booking: up to [12] months.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, or with the authority in your own EU country.

Our website is not directed at children. Bookings for minors must be made by a parent or guardian, who provides the child’s details for ticketing purposes.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure (HTTPS) connections, access limited to the staff who need it, and trusted service providers.
